Intro to Positive Discipline
How to move away from punishment and toward using encouragement, consequences, limits and agreements, for an approach to discipline that stimulates cooperation and self-restraint.
Children and Technology
Feel like you’re constantly asking the children to “turn that thing off?” Whether it’s video consoles, computers, tablets or smart phones, you may be starting to feel like electronics are ruling everyone’s life!
In this workshop, we will explore some of the problems caused by excessive electronic use, as well as ways to set limits around technology and ideas for improving connections with children through technology.
Working with pre-teens and teens from a Positive Discipline place
Sometimes guiding tweens or teens can seem like a wrestling match, with both adults and youngsters feeling like losers. Gain the necessary skills to help your tween/teen discuss and solve problems in a positive way by focusing on long-term goals, determining who owns the problem and encouraging resilience.

Come to our coffee on Oct 26 and meet Alfred Adler, who has been called “the Father of coaching”. You will learn about Adler’s personal story, explore Individual Psychology in greater detail, and how and why it relates and matters to coaching. We will also do some practical exercises, so we all can “feel” an experience Adlerian Coaching. You will leave with an increased knowledge of what Adler and his Individual Psychology contributed to coaching, modern psychology and therapy. Hopefully you will also leave with some additional personal insights, and a little bit moved.

Leading Well: Wellness for the Leader in You
Developing a wellness plan, for yourself as a leader, is critical for moving from the toll and consequences of difficult decisions and constant pressure, to the flow of working steadfastly and with purpose, creating and care-taking, directing and managing, in ways that promote success for yourself and those around you.
This session will cover the fundamentals of creating a Wellness Plan for yourself, and a call to action to let this be your guide along the path of your life and career success. It will include hands-on training, and ideas and suggestions tailored just for you. You will also have a chance to discuss ways to promote wellness in your workplace. The presentation will be a mix of formal presentation and teaching; alternating with hands-on practice of wellness and creation of an action plan.
